Jeff's Personal Summary
Born in Madison, Wisconsin I was raised on a dairy farm near De Forest. I
was
the first of three brothers and we went to local elementary and high
schools.
As a child and young adult I studied piano, tuba, and sang in
church and
school choirs and chorus. I took swimming lessons and was in
Boy Scouts
obtaining the rank of Eagle Scout. We also had ponies and
horses on the farm
which all the neighborhood boys and I learned to ride
and show in 4-H. Although
I enjoyed sports and was athletic enough to
participate, I found my interests
in studies like science, music, history,
and latin classes.
After high school, I went to the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater and graduated to teach music in Marinette and Whitewater public schools.
I moved to California to work in the wineries owned by my uncle and after three years met Renee who I eventually married in 1987.
We have two little dogs who have become our surrogate children. Scout is a brown Chiuahua-Pug mix of 12 lbs, and Harley a black and white Rat Terrier of 17 lbs. Lots of fun and energy but well behaved.
I enjoy singing tenor in a semi-professional choral group, "Voices of Musica Sacra" and playing tenor banjo in a dixieland band, "The Stony Ridge Ramblers".
My hobbies are working with computers, web development software, trading options for stock, and music.

Jeff's Professional Summary
After graduating from University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 1972, I
began
teaching music in the Marinette Public School in Marinette, WI. In
1975 I took
a choral and instrumental music teaching position in the
Whitewater Public
Schools in Whitewater, WI. While teaching in the
Whitewater Public Schools, I
periodically held a University Summer Camp
honorarium position for Swing Choirs
as well as completing a Masters
degree in Kodaly Music Education and Public
School Administration. Upon
completion of my Masters degree in 1981 and with a
desire obtain a
Doctorate in Music Conducting, I completed and passed the
initial entrance
application process for a PHD program to Columbia University
in New York.
But later in 1982 I felt I needed a break from further education
and put
my aspirations on hold indefinately. I never rekindled my interest
to
obtain the PHD, but have always enjoyed directing choirs and
bands.
My interest eventually led me from music education to the California wine industry where my uncle owned several wineries and a wine marketing company. I spent three years enjoying and working in the wine industry with my uncle until his businesses were sold.
The next several years were difficult as I worked for Beneficial California, Inc., ERA Carter Realtors, North American Title Company, Sun Capital Financial, AmVest Mortgage Company, and finally Valley Alliance Mortgage, Inc. And eventually my wife and I bought Valley Alliance Mortgage, Inc.
As owners of Valley Alliance Mortgage, Inc. we mainly grew in experience while only staying above water financially. In 1992 the California mortgage banking industry as a whole was begining to reorganize. Renee and I decided the new structure carried more liability than we wanted and in November 1999 disolved our corporation. Then in 2000 went to work for National City Bank, Mortgage Division in Concord, California. Working for the bank allowed us to do everything for our clients we did with our former company, but with the resorces of national company. In September 2005 after working for the best company of our lives and with the nicest group of people, Renee and I retired from National City Bank.
Presently I maintain my license and a working relationship with American Pacific Mortgage, Inc. in Roseville, CA. Renee & I work with our past client base and only referrals from that base for new businesss. We enjoy working with our past clients and their friends as well as the relaxed work pace.
In August 2007 we started our own investment corporation for our personal investments and are actively working to build this new company through stocks, options, and real estate holdings

Renee's Personal Summary
I was born in Oakland California in 1956. And although the population of
the
area had not yet exploded, it wasn't long before the street in front
of my
house was expanded to four lanes with a major freeway built three
houses to the
west. Living in such a busy area reduced my opportunity for
playing outside the
our backyard, so I enjoyed membership in Brownies and
Girl Scouts. Later I
became involved in Rainbow girls. At home I enjoyed
crafts, reading and cooking.
My brother (5 years younger) and I attended the local schools and when I graduated I attended San Francisco State University to pursue a degree in psychology. While studying for my degree, I became interested in education and so also received a multi subject teaching credential.
While going to college, I began to work in the bookkeeping section of a large automotive parts wholesaler. Working my way up in the company, I gradually became head of the department and discovered my gift for “numbers”.
In 1985 while still working for the wholesale company, I met my future husband Jeff. He was in mid career change and had decided to take a job originating mortgages. It wasn't long before I got the bug too and we both went to work for a mortgage brokerage firm.
In January 1999, my Godmother Enid passed away. Having no children of her own she choose to leave her mountain cabin in Tehachapi to me. That gift has turned out to be one of my biggest life changing events. We began to visit the house every couple of months.
Since the lifestyle is much slower in Tehachapi, it was very attractive compared to our busy schedules in the SF Bay Area. Additionally the air is clear and the wildlife prevalent.
We found ourselves more and more drawn to the area and our visits became more and more frequent. Finally on Memorial Day weekend 2005, we decided to sell our house up in the SF Bay Area and move permanently to our little cabin in the mountains.
Jeff and I live here with our two little dogs Scout and Harley. We all enjoy the exceptional beauty of the area, the wildlife and the simple life. Additionally I enjoy reading, cooking and gardening.

Renee's Professional Summary
I graduated from San Francisco State University in 1980. While in college
I
took a job in the bookkeeping department of a large automotive
warehouse.
Discovering I had an aptitude for numbers, I stayed on after graduating collage. I enjoyed my job at the warehouse but later became interested in mortgages when my husband, Jeff started working in the field. I soon joined him in origination mortgages finding that it not only allowed me to use my numbers sense but also made use of the listening skills I honed while studying for my psychology degree in college.
Today I still enjoy arranging mortgages for our clients and the people they refer to us.
